Our politics is like the boy's school playground I remember. Some kicking a tennis ball around, some playing handball, a few smoking behind the bike sheds, little gangs making up passwords and shibboleths to exclude the unwelcome. Europe has been like it for years.
For such elegance though, one word is missing. Leader. Not on the syllabus. There can only be one hero at a time. Now they are handed out like charity lapel stickers. People who ride bikes and play guitars get knighthoods; those who were in the right place at the right time for long enough end up in the HoL.
Two more have added their names to the list to water down the plethora of the divided, Matt Goodwin and Dominic Cummings. Both of them no doubt bullied at school. Perhaps it is time to find a bully.
