As we face up to the likelihood of civil war and an enemy from within rather than outside our borders, we will need our army to assist police and security services to patrol our streets to keep us safe. We’re going to need our most loyal fighting men who put Great Britain before Allah and praying instead of patrolling for the task of keeping us safe. Never mind the Russians. We face a more dangerous enemy in our midst.

I live in a predominantly military part of Wiltshire and before that I lived in two areas of the country where the Royal Navy was dominant. I love them all. I and my husband turn out for all military days where the public is involved and I feel immense pride and warmth to those (including those of colour) who are prepared to sacrifice their lives to protect me and my family. It breaks my heart to see how the Armed Forces have been run down and (as an ex-naval wife) the reasons are many and well-known. If our island nation hopes to succeed in being one with anything to offer, we must nurture and recreate what we once esteemed.

Unbelievably comprehensive review Pete, great job.

We need our nukes to work and to know how to deploy them.

We need state of the art cyberwarfare capability and world class intelligence systems and people of ability to drive it all.

We'll never be able to afford the Big Boy toys so light and fast is the way to go-think SAS.

If military personnel who support Woke ideology can remain in post - because they no longer advocate such drivel, can ‘former’ fascists, racists and sex deviants do the same?

Who can you trust?

Read this again and it’s a very well thought out blueprint for UK defence. We understand why you’ve decided to work with the Homeland Party Pete, but you know they’ll never get a seat never mind power and you are wasted there. You really should make up with Farage and work on policy for Reform.

Where to start? Agree 100%. Recruitment will get better when DEI is dropped. The military's culture and ethos should be distinctive and separate from that of the nation it serves. War is a contact sport. It should be more meritocratic, more disciplined, and much tougher. The recent Snowflake campaign and focus on Muslim soldiers or females is akin to a Rugby team pushing really hard to get badminton players to join. Rugby is Rugby. If you don't like it, can't (or won't) play it, then you shouldn't be on the team. The British military (the rugby team) have spent too much time, effort, and money trying to recruit badminton and snooker players to the Rugby team and, then, are surprised when they don't want to play Rugby - they want the Rugby team to do more badminton and snooker practice.
