They're arguing that being born in England makes you English because they can then deny that population replacement is happening: "In 1950 the majority were English because they were born here. In 2050 the majority will be English because they will have been born here, Nothing has changed"
The Conservatives destroyed any claim they might have to being able to run the country from 2010, finishing off with an egregious display of incompetence over Covid (not even to mention the Boriswave). The Labour Party are once more (every time!) showing they cannot manage an economy. Burnham is faced with the necessity for massive spending cuts, or try to impose unfeasible tax rises, thereby causing an exodus of those who pay most of it already. He must go for an election, or carry the can when it all collapses, as it assuredly will. Either way we are on the threshold of the 'National Emergency' both parties seem to have been trying to bring about. The destruction of their country is by now obvious to the majority. The question only remains whether the British people will continue passively to accept it, or start to back those who are protesting. In the latter case, things could escalate very quickly.

During Covid, as Chancellor his duty was to say 'This is all we can afford, make your policy inside this strict limit.'
Instead he doubled down and trebled down over spend, spend, spend including his own smiley 'Eat out to help out.'
He thus spent the remainder of the UK credit card limit with the Bond Markets. It was only a matter of when not if any government has to declare bankruptcy and that we can not pay the annual interest payment owed on debt borrowings.
At which point welfare, pensions, police salary, military salary, NHS, teachers, they can not pay at 100% - maybe 50% or less.
In 2024 as PM and Conservative leader (for which he schemed and schemed), he lost over 1 in 2 Conservative Party votes from 2019. Most I have asked have no intention of returning to the Conservatives at Westminster election level (Local elections with local councillors are perhaps a different matter).
By any measure he was an abysmal failure wearing British government or British party leader hat. Whether or not he was actively working for interests in India, California, Davos, I do not know and give him the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe five more years as junior minister, five years as Cabinet minister, then senior Cabinet role, maybe a stretch as a Shadow minister, and then finally Prime Minister would have made him competent. But I doubt it.
