This article perpetuates the power is bottom up myth. Power is always held by elites. Any truly revolutionary movement will be destroyed in its Inception by the current elites. We can see that happening already if we care to look. This is why Reform is what it is. It is not allowed to be any more than that. There is no solution to the UK's problems in the short term. Total collapse is coming. The only remaining question is the timeline.

"This article perpetuates the power is bottom up myth" I don't see that anywhere in the article. I believe that power should be bottom up, but it isn't.

Pete writes: "As much as policy needs to address the symptoms, we need a new constitution based on democratic consent, that puts British sovereignty and national democracy first.." That, it seems to me, is a good aim.

This is why the Flexcit version of Brexit was trashed.

Forgive my naivety, but why are you bothered? What’s your motivation here?

This is all so correct, it hurts.

Farage is the embodiment of populist demagoguery. Neither he, nor Tice, are the democratic Messiah.

The penultimate paragraph contains the line 'That hasn't changed in twenty years and it's to going to change - especially if Farage returns.'.. Should that not be 'That hasn't changed in twenty years and it's NOT to going to change - especially if Farage returns'?

You don’t solve a problem by using the same system as that which created the problem.

The Globalist Elites recognise humanity’s fundamental problems but some of the ways in which they are being addressed is akin to a bull in a china shop.

“The EU is as much an implementing agent as it is an originator of regulation, where much of its climate regulation is born from international treaties and binding targets agreed at the global level.”

International treaties and binding targets agreed at the global level, climate regulation included, emanated from subsidiaries of the Globalist Elites. The Globalist Elites being those at the top of the ruling class pyramid.

“If you're going to the trouble of running a party… You need a long-term plan and a strategy.”

The Globalist Elites have “a long-term plan and a strategy.” They quite rightly recognise that humanity has strayed too far from sustainability by virtue of over population and too many individuals living an overly extravagant lifestyle.

They also recognise that humans voting for measures to help achieve sustainability would be like turkeys voting for Christmas. Democracy is not now in the interests of the future of humanity.

“The extremists are in Westminster… They're the ones undermining democracy.”

The extremists, in this context, are the Globalist Elites. They are the ones essentially running our government and likewise many other governments.

They are the ones who will ultimately replace ‘democratic’ governments with totalitarian One World Government.

If humanity survives long enough.
