Overall sensible. I wouldn't bother with desegregating the mosques. I would rather move for regulation of mosques with in mosque surveillance. Limiting number of current mosques by area, decommissioning where there are more than required. Regulation of Imans. And no construction of any news mosques.
That would be me being generous. In reality I would like Islam to be removed from its religion status, and all mosques shut down.
You've addressed all the main areas of concern, your post would form the basis of a popular, vote winning manifesto! I think one area that could be developed is the role the media and in particular the BBC has played in pushing the "mass immigration is an unending gift to the nation" agenda. The BBC is so influential, particularly with the many good, decent non-political folk who tend to believe everything it says. Yet, from lockdown to the Gaza/Israel conflict we know that it is a highly compromised biased institution that is now essentially a mouth piece for the regressive elite. Defunding the BBC is essential I believe.
I am not even sure it would need total defunding - perhaps doing away with the news/current affairs stuff would be a good starting point.
Although it would still find a way to push agendas through "light entertainment" (both adult and children's), this, music radio, and its sporting coverage could be continued.
If it wanted to keep the news/current affairs output, then it could withdraw from public funding and go to the subscription model.
I think its drama and documentary side of the business might do well in a subscription model. Relying on subscriptions from the public, who have been avoiding their wokest output, would curb their enthusiasm for 'the agenda'. Their news/current affairs departments just need to go, they have lost all credibility.
I don't think I would disagree with any of what you have written - here or above - I was just looking at an approach to defunding them, which might be palatable to those that still hang on their every word! :-)
I have long felt it ridiculous that I have to pay for it in order to watch something else
We keep being promised de-funding, but the BBC suits government as a propaganda outlet, in its current form. Why should we have to pay for it when we only watch other programmes?
My answer is to de-fund and put it out to full commercial pressure. Those who want to watch it and advertise with it, can do so.
Deterrence really shouldn't be a problem as all we really need do is to stop proactively enticing them over here. Free use of the NHS, free housing (you get to choose), access to benefits, heating allowances and given mobile phones and free travel, I'd be grateful of that. Make 'our' benefit package either similar to or preferably lower than France and the boats stop.
There should be a total freeze on any further immigration for at least 5years as we are now on the point of collapse. Reportedly 1.4m people came in last year alone, that's equivalent to 5 towns the size of Milton Keynes and I don't see the infrastructure required to accommodate that additional population being built, do you?
You mention our ability , or lack of, to train doctors and engineers. It is my understanding that there is a 'cap' set on the number of doctors allowed to train so that should be an easy fix by changing it.
As to the engineer shortage, I live in the Midlands and can give you a list of engineering firms that have gone to the wall that would bring tears to your eyes. So not only do we have the issue of unemployment but also the apprentice schemes run by those firms have vanished. This of course is a nation wide issue of UK manufacturing being destroyed.
We should be actively promoting manufacturing in this country and perhaps look at the sponsoring of technical collages by industry as they are most likely to benefit from trained engineers.
I'm not sure why you would want to offer cash incentives for those who have failed to be independent members of society. Just remove them.
As for freedom of religion I think we need to enforce the laws already in place to protect women, children and general freedom of choice. Worship what ever you like however you like but do it within the laws already laid down.
Very ambitious in the present culture. Many in the population might agree with your ideas, but it will take a lot of time and effort just to get the proposals past the cultural gatekeepers.
One reform I think could be successfully prosecuted, is the end of postal voting. This would remove a lot of fraud, especially now we need photo ID to vote. ( Another evil forced on us by the erosion of social cohesion.)
All good proposals but the problem is that ALL the main political parties want mass immigration and non integration because they all following the wishes of the globalists who are driving UK policy. They are all disciples of the WEF, our real masters.
Not sure you'd be able to "correct" a democratic deficit due to ethnic bloc voting....would that cover voting for any national party? the SNP/Plaid Cymru come to mind.
I am by no means an expert on any of these matters (though I am trying to learn).
Whilst a lot of this would take a long time, and wouldn’t directly affect immigration in the short-term, education is surely a key part of improving things domestically in parallel…
I feel this would feed from a better/more robust education policy further down the chain (Secondary etc).
Your suggestion of universities becoming polytechnics - for sure. Limiting the numbers of visas - some sort of criteria to ensure quality of applicants, but also severe limits on students bringing family with them… Those are potential quick wins.
Without foreign income, many universities would go bankrupt, so we would need to have a plan for that. However, with less of them, perhaps degrees could start to mean something again.
More polytechnics focusing on vocational education in general could help plug some of the skills gap - which companies seem to use immigration to exploit. The emphasis wouldn't just be on the usual manual labour; mechanics, plumbers, etc, but software engineers and other tech roles.
Maybe something along these lines would work, earlier, for many kids who currently fall between the cracks because the current education “process” (classroom learning etc) doesn’t (and never will) work for them.
Part of the problem with change in education approaches seems to be (similar to the NHS) that anyone who has come in and tried to make any sensible changes, is howled down by the unions and media, with strikes and general chaos. Whoever gets involved in the university/education activities, is going to need a strong spine and supremely strong backing from their leadership. This would be easier with a robust, coherent (dare I use the word “holistic”) plan.
Our intelligence services should begin a programme of sowing rumours in these countries of origin. Something to the effect that getting regularly bummed by other immigrants from <insert neighbour country name here> is an inevitability for young men that find themselves incarcerated as an illegal immigrant.
Also, all detainees should be attired in a standard uniform of pink arseless PVC chaps. Detainees should be photographed in said uniform and made available on the interweb.
Agreed, Pete, as usual. However, there is a paradox between not allowing segregation in mosques, but having segregation in changing rooms in swimming pools/sports/clubs (the Garrick springs to mind). I went to an all-girls school. Are we saying they would not be permitted?
Also, in a previous life I reviewed applicants for visas in the UK particularly those who had applied to bring family members, saying they could support their spouses and earned '£XXX,000' or whatever. In every case, these were fraudulent. No-one was ever held to account. You will be faced with the same level of corruption in trying to establish 'Those found not in education or employment, without a demonstrably legitimate income.'
Corruption is a major issue and I used to find this in the Republic of Ireland to levels you wouldn't believe. (Well, you might, actually.)

I think this is a very good conversation starter.

Let them go bankrupt

You won't even fight for your fellow countrymen. And then accuse others of disloyalty.
