Having met the man for lunch with a mutual friend, so just the three of us for an hour and a half, my concern is that he is not one to take advice and very much has his own plan for the lead up to the next election.
He actually said his sole aim was to be PM after the next election and if not then would be returning to his farm. In my opinion this aim is devoid of reality but was probably based on destroying Farage over the way he was sacked and pulling all Reform votes to Restore.
His peace offer was, with impossible demands for Farage to accept,, purely tactical but on that score it has all gone quite.
Then as Pete has recorded he has supposedly dealt with his neo-nationalist element but what happens next will give us an indication as to whether he can be useful for our country's future or just exist on the fringes and gradually fade away?
This is quite plausible. Do you have constituencies in mind for the proposed two additional MPs? Unless the Tories stand down as well as Reform, I struggle to identify any likely candidates. Restore would certainly have some work to do to win back the female vote after Orla’s resignation.
Fine except it ignores the fact that Restore only exists in the form it does, and does what it does, as a Conservative Party operation to spoil Reform's electoral chances and prevent it forming the next government.
Why is Lowe boasting about being in constant contact with the Nigerian sandwich maker, and what did Lowe trade in return for the Conservatives handing him a priceless seat on the Treasury Select Committee?
I like this idea. It would be good to have the three or so Restore MPs in different parts of the country to give it a national rather than a regional feel.
No. It is imploding, and the longer it sticks to its forlorn strategy of becoming a national party for 2029, the less chance it has of surviving. What I outline here is a change of tack that keeps it in the game.

South East Coast probably. I'd also be looking at Blackpool South and Weston SM.
Andrew Bridgen is a member of Restore and the most respected politician I know.
As a member of the hoi-polloi I’m sure many others agree we need him back in Parliament
