I agree and would offer one suggestion as to why there is no 'National Conservative' party at this point: it cannot be created - it needs to evolve. It will evolve because the component parts are there. The alchemy of time, place, circumstance will at some point align and produce what you (and I) hope for.
Very interesting article and much to agree with. I’m not sure about the degree of control proffered by the WEF but I am sure the Fabian Society has very significant influence in the UK and the Frankfurt School in the US and elsewhere. When Starmer choose Davos over Westminster was that the clue that there’s a strong link between Fabians and the WEF?
"I have no patience for the simplistic tropes and slogan driven populism of Reform/AdvanceUK".
OK then; fair enough. But I have no patience for the never ending failure of many people to understand that there is a political reality to be confronted by any emergent party of the Right. And it is this: If you want to actually be electable you have to keep your policy ambitions within the bounds of what will be perceived as acceptable by the voters you seek to attract. Furthermore I do not think that all of what is suggested, or advocated, by Reform/AdvanceUK is 'populist slop' as you continually inform us. And if, as you say, "their (Reform/AdvanceUK's) approach to immigration is far too weak" I would opine that it is a damn sight better and a more robust approach than what we have witnessed from both the Labour Party and the Conservatives - and I can't even begin to contemplate the likely effects of the open-borders-disaster proposed by the Lib Dems and The Greens.
This country needs change and needs it desperately and, as far as I can see, and despite the imperfections and limitations which I freely acknowledge they have, ReformUK is the only vehicle for change in sight on the road to oblivion along which we are all being driven by Starmer and his inadequate, far-left, Britain hating cronies.
Your point is well made. Reform’s immigration policy may not go far enough for some but it certainly goes a long way further when it comes to legal and illegal immigration and critically repatriation than the Tories did in 14 years and Labour in their disastrous 17 months. What Pete fails to grasp is that theories and policies without power are meaningless and sometimes a pragmatic 80% of what you want is better than 0% of everything.
As always a very cogent piece Pete, most of which I agree with.
I was watching the Advance UK meeting and saw the lady in question's intercession it was not well received and Ben did as well as he could in the circumstances.
I disagree with you on one point. I think you need to listen to what Ben said at the meeting on immigration as I do not believe it is too timid, it is where most of us like minded folk want it to be.
Your list of lobbying cohorts didn't include China either which I found odd !
some good thoughts but I've often thought the electorate needs to take its share of the blame. As long as we are in a climate where a good wedge of the electorate want easy answers and free stuff then the populist slop will find a McDonald's queue ready and waiting...
The Board of Deputies of British Jews published a report on antisemitsm. Antisemitism has increased very significantly since Hamas invaded Israel 2 years ago.
However, nowhere in the report does it mention "Islam" or Muslims". Very strange.
Very good post form which my views are confirmed that to govern this country successfully we need a party to adopt these reforms to our governance and democracy to give the 'people' more power to thus turning our politicians into our servants instead of our masters.
While it is in the process of being updated by Pete's father, Dr Richard North, the basics of the six demands will remain the same.
Unless and until the people are recognised as sovereign, confirmed in a codified constitution, we will continue on the road to hell governed by weak, cosmetic, ignorant, virtue signalling politicians.
I have puzzled about the motivation of anti-Zionist Jews. I wrote an article about it, requesting my readers give suggestions as to why this is. The root problem is that some very religious Jews believe that Israel as a state can only be established following the arrival of their Messiah. Since their Messiah has not arrived, the argument seems to be that Israel has no right to exist. The comments below my article are interesting:
It's nice to see somebody else picking up on the 'no borders' narrative.
The average small 'c' conservative UK manual worker is very much disadvantaged by this alliance between global capitalism and international socialism - both sides advocates of open borders.
Blair's third sector thinking created a lot of the problems but he was followed by Cameron promising a bonfire of the quangos (14 wasted years)
I blame a lot of this importation of American crank Right ideas about "da joooooz" on Academic Agent, Keith Woods and Morgoth. They all want to be the British version of Nick Fuentes but lack the gay goblin's manic energy and warped "charisma". The less said about the American crank Right's desire for some dictator masquerading as a king the better.
Australia almost has that policy of no foreign born MPs. If you want to be in parliament over there you have to renounce other citizenships you may hold.
< “I have the same antipathy toward the reductive and simplistic theories of the populist right when they mong on about Klaus Schwab, globalists and the WEF. Call me of the populist right if you will. But aside from your “galaxy” I believe there is an Agenda being orchestrated by the Globalist Elite (to include the likes of Klaus Schwab).
How else do you explain the proliferation of social and economic policies that have been perpetrated throughout the ‘countries’ of The West?
I have noticed antisemitic views becoming more prevalent too. One very dark trend has been the rise of holocaust denialism on the right. Previously I'd say that holocaust denial has been very prevalent on the Islamist side, on the David Irving / Nick Griffin extreme right and not really a feature of the left anticolonialist antisemitism. I've seen more and more denialism memes becoming common place on the anti-immigration right. I can understand that some would question the power of the Israel lobby in the US and question the use of the holocaust as a form of moral blackmail to support present day Israeli foreign policy. I don't agree, but the Guardianista left types can make a case using it. But outright questioning of the presence of gas chambers at Auschwitz and the planned extermination of the Jews by the Nazi state is something infinitely darker and seems to have come from the US groyper right. I am glad that Tommy Robinson (dolt though he is) is pro-Israeli as at least it seems to anchor a large portion of his support into that position - for now. The WW2 mythology is collapsing as the world it built is collapsing and the age of Hitler is ending (theologically since the war the moral loadstar has not been 'what would Jesus do' but 'what would Hitler have done' - with the former to be followed and the latter to be avoided at all cost). What comes next is scary.

Also, isn't 'least-worstism' a feature not a bug at this point?
Why is there no 'National Conservative' party? What specifics of this potential party are preventing its creation?

With the present electoral system there is no point starting a new political party. It would be like starting a job by putting oneself in handcuffs.
