The breathtaking arrogance of Kemi Badenoch

Kemi Badenoch has given a speech to the Alliance for Responsible Citizens conference. You can read it for yourself. At last, she lets us really know how she thinks.

She has often trotted out the cliche that “Our United Kingdom is a multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-faith success story” and other words to that effect. She genuinely believes it. It is not lost on her, though, that most former-Tory voters do not share her view. It’s abundantly clear that Britain is not a "multi-ethnic, multicultural success story" and voters are sick of hearing this shtick.

Ms Badenoch, though, thinks the voters are wrong. “It’s not liberal values that are the problem”, she says. “It’s weakness”. Her central thesis is that we are failing to defend our liberal values. Fancying herself as an engineer, she thinks this is something that can be fixed with social engineering.

So how do we defend? Conservatives are the guardians of western civilisations. We do need to defend what we have, but many have forgotten how to do so. It requires bravery and not endless compliance at the threat of legal challenge.

So I’m going to give you a brilliant example of a woman who has done this. She is known as Britain’s strictest headmistress and runs the Michaela School, the best school in our country. Her name is Katharine Birbalsingh. The Michaela School is secular. However, religious tolerance was being exploited to harass and bully others. This led to segregation and tensions, with some students beginning to pray in the playground, violating school rules, pressuring their peers to follow religious practices they hadn’t before, like wearing a headscarf or stopping choir practice.

In response, Katharine banned those prayer rituals to restore order and refused to provide a dedicated prayer space, aiming to maintain the school’s secular environment and treat all pupils equally. The response was an orchestrated attempt to destroy her reputation and her school. She was sued by one child’s parents. The BBC ran a headline saying the school made being Muslim seem toxic. Most politicians are afraid of that sort of headline for fear of being labelled Islamophobic. Most teachers would have relented the minute they were challenged. Katharine Birbalsingh took her case all the way to the High Court and she won. Katharine showed how you defend western civilisation.

Again another Tory leader lavishes praise on Birbalsingh, one of their mates from the Spectator dinner party circle. Were this 2001, back when there was still a chance of turning things around, I’d be right behind her, but if Badenoch thinks this marginal tinkering is going to repair Britain, she is quite simply away with the fairies. She has no concept of how bad things are.

I could go deep on this speech, but that would be unnecessary. Badenoch is now completely exposed for what she is. A clueless, breathtakingly arrogant lightweight.

Britain most certainly is not a "multi-ethnic, multicultural success story". Mass immigration has been an unmitigated disaster. It was a disaster before the Boriswave and now it’s becoming a national emergency. It has turned our cities into irredeemable slums. It has shredded the social contract. It has torn the social fabric to pieces. It has demolished our high trust civilisation. It has made britain a colder, more hostile place. It has wrecked our communities. It has driven down our wages.

The bottom line is that multiculturalism doesn't work, cannot be made to work, and nobody, but for the deeply brainwashed, even wants it to work. We are not obliged to share our home with low IQ third-worlders. Britain is not a nebulous set of values.

There is now only one way to repair Britain and that's remigration. Millions must be deported. After what has been done to us, there can be no half-measures. Politicians, however well intentioned they are, cannot make integration happen among those who cannot integrate (and don't even want to).

Moreover, the politicians like Badenoch who talk about integration can't even define it, and even if they could, they wouldn't be willing to do any of the things necessary to promote it. If they so much as tried it, immigrant communities would riot - which is all the proof you need that they simply shouldn't be here.

Our choices are now limited. We can either keep on ignoring the elephant in the room, and watch society further deteriorate into anarchy and chaos, where the inevitable outcome is low-grade civil war, or we can get serious about remigration. Remigration is the only sane option. Anything else is national suicide.

The problem, though, is that Badenoch, herself a product of multiculturalist dogma, can never allow herself to admit that she is part of the problem. The conditioning runs too deep. The other problem is that a very large contingent of the electorate has been marinated in this same dogma from birth.

This is going to be challenging. Very few people regularly interrogate their own rhetoric. If they, did they would realise that what was in the multiculturalism sales brochure is not what’s right in front of them. An entire generation has been indoctrinated into believing anyone can be British, for being British is little more than a legal status and a set of values, defined by the regime.

Consequently, a lot of people are squeamish about remigration because it doesn't feel very fair. An innate sense of fairness really is one of those "British values" we hear so much about. But mass immigration was never fair to our own people - who never consented to it.

It's not fair on those on hospital waiting lists. It's not fair to the young looking for homes and jobs. It's not fair on any of us to trash our own birthright. It's not fair on anyone to throw away our high trust society. It's not fair on the taxpayer to have to fund economic migrants who contribute nothing. It's not fair to tell people that foreigners who can barely speak our language are just as British as us.

Nothing about mass immigration is fair to us but we've been conditioned to put our own interests last. This is what all the decolonisation demoralisation propaganda is designed to do. We're supposed to feel guilty about who we are so we consent to our own annihilation. Reject it. There is nothing wise or moral about self-destruction. Do what is fair for your own people.

Badenoch, like Starmer, is among the dregs of a dying liberal order. Badenoch’s speech is a last ditch attempt to defend the regime, warning against populism and nationalism. She urges us to to place our faith in the very ideas that brought us to the brink of national oblivion. She urges us to trust the very people who did this to us in the first place. If this is truly the best the Tories have to offer, then its extinction cannot come soon enough. It’s clear now that Badenoch is a liberal leader of a liberal party, who doesn’t see the problem, and wouldn’t want to fix it if she did. They are done.
