Things are pretty fucking shit for us right now. I worked as a contractor inside the pharma industry - all contracts are hard to come by in the UK at the moment and rates are well down. I suspect its a combination of IR35 reforms (last gig was awful and was under an umbrella company - terrible pay especially due to higher employers NI - that I have to pay), a lot of contracts now go offshore and I think there has been rate cuts due to Boris Wave arrivals (can't prove it but nearly every gig I get offered has me state whether I can work in the UK and if I need sponsorship PLUS a large surplus of Indian pharmacy graduates raises suspicions). Permanent Jobs are hard to come by and salaries are about what they were 10 years ago when I made the decision to go freelance.
But then everything is much more expensive than it was 10 years ago.
Have a leasehold property I've been trying to sell for two years - which has been made much more complicated by the renters rights changes. Having to sell at a discount now just to get by. Very concerned that is going to fall through again due to market turmoil leaving me without tenants and rental income to offset the mortgage.
Had my universal credit application turned down because of the second property. (I did manage to get an advance though so I don't know what that means)
Think we might go under this month or next.
Tried really hard to make the best of it for my family and right now everything thing that happens seems to be a slap in the face. I don't fucking care about Palestine, busses and Ukraine. I don't care about any of the shit that seems to animate the political lobby. I do care about the safety of my family.
Depending on where your property is, and assuming it's residential, would a sympathetic and flexible tenant for your leasehold property help your circumstances?
The next election is our last chance to save our country. If voting rules aren’t changed to stop new immigrants and commonwealth citizens to vote Labour and the hard left will exploit these ruthlessly against any new leader of the right. All that will be left is an armed struggle.
Don't discount the fact that Labour intend to expand the franchise to 16 year olds. Who will nearly all vote for the Greens (aka Palestinians/Hamas/muslim fundamentalists). Be careful what you wish for.
This is what I wrote on Turbulent Times this morning:-
I think the general direction of travel for our country is as I've been pointing out for a while now, which is that things have to get even worse before they get better.
This means the Left will unite to keep out the fractured Right at the next election leading to a near total collapse of our governance and from the chaos a new Right will emerge under new leadership.
We have worse to come but cometh the hour cometh the man or woman!
I wonder if this could actually be driven by a countryside alliance. You mention food, well farmers obviously are most acutely aware of the rising costs.
Let's face it, if Jeremy Clarkson turned to politics, he'd be a shoe in as PM, like Rupert Lowe on steroids with twice the charisma of Farage!
Thanks for cheering us up. Agree that street protests are pointless as they give the Government the high ground and the sensible middle get the ick and stay quiet. Plus the state is still able to be ruthlessly efficient when its core interests are at stake. Not sure what happens next, but all the time the foundations of a functioning state are rotting away. The unseen but essential compact between people and state frays to breaking point. We just don’t rely on or trust the state to carry out its functions. We turn inwards to neighbours, family, our in-groups. We avoid paying tax where we can. Those who can buy their way out of problems do, causing more social division. We just become a second world country, a corrupt and repressive government in charge, the wealthy with their gates, private security and solar panels and generators sort of managing, the rest too tired and busy surviving.
All Rupert Lowe has to do is to say that ethno-nationalists are not welcome in Restore. I believe he could be the leader of such a movement. Tommy Robinson has also been able to attract plenty of non-white Britons to his cause. I don't really understand why you are so negative towards him, because he has actually been punished for his beliefs by this execrable State.
Because Rupert Lowe mask you see is not the Rupert Lowe he be.
He wears a different face and message for different audiences.
This is also why he cannot hold a conference like the real parties because those in it will blurt it all out and the people who think like yourself will be horrified (maybe beaten up), and Rupert can not wear his different masks for his conference speech and interviews.
Different audiences, different messages.
Makerfield was the first place the real Restore got to be in action which horrified the candidate and the people who think like you do.
Rupert will not (and now can not) get Jew hatred out of Restore nor Holocaust denial.
Thus, whatever else Restore offers, it is not the answer unless you decide 1932-45 Germany was the political answer.
Howard Cox's exit before Christmas (probably a Dan Wootton interview) with Orla should wake up those in a demonic lullaby about what Restore is. Deadly poison with a covering of delicious chocolate (which is melting fast).
Very interesting. So you are basically saying that he is a fake? Are you saying that he is an ethno-nationalist himself and employs the Nazi element? That would guarantee that Restore is unelectable. Are you sure about this ? What actually happened in Makerfield?
Unless Pete North welcomes me writing a great deal more here (to address your questions), maybe somehow we can chat off-line.
For now (so as not to abuse Pete North's blogpost) Lowe sets up a political movement/think tank (easy to join because no commitment to anything and it attracts the pure protest vote and is thus very broad church) which he morphs into a political party at the exact the time the non-anti-Semitic Advance UK had just become registered by The Electroal Commission and was free to participate in elections.
Why not lead Advance UK as he was repeatedly offered? Because it was not anti-Semitic and not hardcore ethno-nationalist even kicking out Harry Kane because of an Irish grandparent.
Habib found out the hard way. As had the Reform MPs before him. Rupert wears masks. When the mask slips.....!!
Examine his long 'business' career in which he made millions. The first place a highly trusted trustworthy businessman does is recruit the people who have dealt with him in business in the past. At very least the people at and around Southampton FC. Alas these are the last bunch to go near him. They fell for the mask but got bitten and are twice shy.
You judge politicians on actions not words. Farage picked up the phone immediately to the Israeli foreign minister when the UK government made its policy announcement last week. All Reform MPs are on board (a strange thing about this imperfect crew is that they all have the same virtue that they are NOT anti-Semitic).
Rupert Lowe chose not to speak in the response to the statement (unlike Tice speaking for Reform in support of Israel and UK Jews). Lowe will not be phoning the Israeli foreign minister offering support.
His former business associates will continue to keep well clear of Restore while Lowe is the leader/owner.
In Makerfield official Restore leaflets (which need official party sanction) were being handed out to the public and to home owners by self-confessed anti-Semites and the hardest of hard core ethno-nationalists. Being white does not cut it for them.
Their pitch on the doorsteps to voters horrified a candidate who naively thought Restore was all about protecting women/young girls from rapists. Lowe then had to stop her talking to the media mid-campaign.
The Makerfield folk enchanted by 'stop the grooming gangs' Restore pitch and the nice local lady as candidate then had the car crash moment of realising half the Restore activists were anti-Semites, misogynists, nasty people, jealous the Muslim groomers got in there first WHILE the other half were nice old school patriots who wanted a genuine small c Conservative Party with genuine Judeo-Christian culture, laws and morality. Indeed the latter were horrified to meet the former face to face and many have ended membership.
Howard Cox is a decent man. While he is there, some will trust Restore. His exit will close the curtain. He is hated by Lowe's staff (whom Lowe selected) and the senior Branch managers because he is not anti-Semitic and not a hard core racist.
But over a good lunch, if he thinks you want to hear it in order to support him, Lowe will put on the mask and tell you with blissful felicity of style that he has no knowledge of Anti-Semitism or hard core racism within Restore (unless you want a different message in which case he will give you a different message).
Without a person(s) being a rallying point there is no change.
MSM won’t provide the promotion needed by an organisation wanting to change government.
Familiar but trusted faces are required to encourage protest.
All movements need trusted people to lead them otherwise they are regarded as troublemakers and agitators.
MSM will put the worst interpretation on objectors to the status quo. Any message has to be issued by people who have proven themselves in times of adversity.
The message must be right and the message givers trustworthy.
After two parties of supposedly different political directions cooperated to destroy the country, nothing less is going to work.
If Reform or even the Conservatives offered to take Lowe back as an MP, he cannot bring his Opinion Poll showing with him.
They are either hardcore anti-Semitic hardcore racists or people fed up with/expelled by Farage (for example Howard Cox) or people who are really fed up with the Conservatives (and often former activists and members).
Political parties at local level are a mixture of extended families and clubs. Often the best of both. They are a great place for the lonely/widows/widowers etc.
Restore can not offer this to anti-Semites foaming at the mouth and normal decent folk. Women usually last one meeting once they meet the Branch managers and the loudest voices.
Reform is getting better at creating clubs and families at local level with group loyalty and much needed patience and persistence (almost despite Farage and folks at the top)
Agreed I am across the pond and there is far too much gerrymandering about personalities and financial greed while the Jihadists flood Britain brought in by the globalists to replace all White Britons who cares who leads the next goverment? The Firth Calliphate waits for no one the death of England is at hand and all the rhetoric is about who best to lead the country as if those in power will ever give it up no matter what the cost

Paul, I pray that The God of The Bible moves in power to help you and your family.
"I do care about the safety of my family." You have the right priority.
Amen to that.
Depending on where your property is, and assuming it's residential, would a sympathetic and flexible tenant for your leasehold property help your circumstances?
Your prose is of sky high quality.
I hope you soon turn to writing novels/faction.
Maybe set in the mid 2030s looking back on what happened and how we got there.

Is that the Scottish muslims up to no good?
