This is all good stuff Pete and I’m in complete agreement. I just wonder how much of our country will be left by 2029. Mass immigration has already changed our society enormously and I’m not sure we can ever get it back again. Labour are going to do a huge amount of damage in the next five years and if they’re in for two terms at least, which seems likely, our country will be entirely transformed and not for the better. I want to be more optimistic but I am finding it very difficult.
We differ on one detail - which, ultimately, may be nothing more than a coin toss. You say "any alternative party is likely to be ill-conceived and shambolic", and thus conclude that Tory party entryism is the better bet to achieve political change. For me, the existence of people like #SteveFaker, Johnny Mercer and Jeremy _unt shows just how delusional and corrupt the Tories have now become. As with the EU 10 years ago, it is time for us to recognise that they are unreformable. Let's not waste another 10 years finally proving that to ourselves.
Yes, it is 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗹𝘆 that any new party will be "ill-conceived and shambolic", but we 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 that and can take steps to mitigate. If a party is formed with both top-down and bottom-up principles - and professional organisation - from day 1, we have the tools to ensure that your fears are not realised.
We just need the unity and the will to make it happen, and therein lies the real problem. We still have too many self-serving grifters hogging the stage. We need to ignore them and back genuine people who can put their egos to one side for the sake of this and future generations of the British people.
It is obvious to everyone that Sunak and his wet Liberal Party have ruined the country with mass immigration, the Woke movement, the Net Zero insanity, the trans ideology and the gradual move to CBDC. But, no one is asking the most important question - why is Sunak and the Blob doing this? It must be deliberate, right? It cannot be down to incompetence.
Here’s the answer. It IS deliberate. Sunak is being controlled by the WEF.
One World Government is coming and they are no longer hiding it. They have been planning this for years and moving by stealth one step at a time. Covid lockdowns and citizens compliance have emboldened them.
Everything is connected - Covid, Net-Zero, the WHO treaty, Ukraine, Farm land grabs, CBDC - its all part of the same grand plan for a total reset of the way we are governed and our lives are controlled by a global elite. There are no coincidences here. None.
There is more than one agenda at play, with different groups benefiting from overlapping interests. Without factoring in Long March neo-Marxism, oligarchal power grabs, the military & pharma industrial complexes, opportunistic grifters, and the usual mass of indoctrinated useful idiots, we just end up with over-simplied, reductionist "conspiracy theories" that are both unverifiable and unfalsifiable.
In any case, it doesn't matter. The 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 of all this 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 be one world, neo-Marxist globalist tyranny. We're almost there - perilously close - already. Rather than focus on the motives of the morons who are doing all this to us, we need to focus on 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀, and what we intend to do about it, if anything.
< “One World Government is coming and they are no longer hiding it.” >
Yep.
It has been realised by some that the human race needs to drastically change direction in order to avert anthropogenic extinction. In order for the human race to drastically change direction requires organisation on a global scale.
A democracy is rule by the people. A recent comment on the people was by Laura Dodsworth - 'A few months after the publication of A State of Fear [her best-seller], a government advisor told me that the behavioural scientists are “very pleased with themselves” and “Britain is seen as leading the way in how to manipulate people. There is skipping in Whitehall corridors. The public have been proved to be incredibly sheepish, so there’s more nudge coming.” And so there is.' I forget who wrote that 'any organisation that is not specifically right wing will become left wing over time'. They were wrong. Here we have the example of the Tory party, an organisation that was specifically right wing, that has still managed to become left wing...
Talk of a world government is nonsense with talk of some BRICS countries developing a port near the Straits of Hormuz, a trade route up through Iran, Azerbaijan and on into European Russia, cutting out Egypt and Suez and the inflamed eastern Med. The West is broke and losing influence with talk of Germany out of NATO, Biden's tariffs on Chinese EVs and a rightward swing across the EU. Most of Africa and S America are practically forgotten and then there's Islam, itself as divided as they come.
< “Recent developments in politics, not least the rise of political Islam, requires robust nationalism. We have to rebuild a patriotic British identity. How we do that, though, given the fragmentation of British society, is unclear. It’s far easier said than done.” >
I’d wager “the fragmentation of British society” has gone past the point of no return.
< “The new conservatism must … be … an age when the people demand more of a say in how they are ruled, and demand their politicians only act with consent.” >
In order for the human race to change course to exist on a much more sustainable footing with nature isn’t going to be achieved through the ballot box. As far as the overwhelming majority of the human race is concerned, voting for such change would most probably, in their view, be like turkeys voting for Xmas.

Hard to disagree Mark. Great summary Pete.
My guess many of us (millions) feel the same but the bubble cant see it, at all.
Thoughtfully excellent as always Pete.

#DontPlayTheRiggedGame.

Yep. And the WEF is controlled by the Globalist Elites (GEs)

Yep.

It requires One World Government.
Wibble…
Meaning??

This is the reason I’m a member of the SDP…

They’ve had their orders from higher up the Globalists’ hierarchical pyramid.

< “The era of globalisation and "liberal internationalism" quietly died while we were all in lockdown.”>
It’s to be hoped for the sake of generations of humans to come that the era of globalisation hasn’t died.
IMHO, it’s wishful thinking to state the era of globalisation is dead. It may have been moderated, which is no bad thing.
< “It just has to get a whole lot worse before it gets better.” >
Amen to that.
