Shabana Mahmood has signalled she could water down her plans to make it harder for foreign workers to claim permanent residence in the UK, amid growing demands for a U-turn from cabinet colleagues and unions.
This is especially bad because we are not going to need low skill migrants at all in 2030. In fact it will be difficult to find work for the people already here, due to increasing automation, robots and AI.

Let me be very honest and state that while I'm fully aware of the serious crisis facing the very fabric and cohesion of our country, which far too many aren't, I feel pretty helpless as to what actions I can personally take to change and improve the current suicidal course our politicians are taking us down.
While I'm of course very angry with the governance inflicted on us by the uniparty over the last 30 years I am even more angry with the likes of Farage who has the necessary platform to make a real difference and rally the support of the overwhelming majority in this country, but hasn't, due to a lack of attention to detail, sleaze and when all is said and done incompetence being no different to all politicians as he is just another 'all mouth and no trousers'.
Where oh where is the prominent national figure to speak the full truth to our country and with a workable tough set of policies and action plan?
As I've so often said the one thing of which I'm very sure is that things are going to get alot worse before they start to get better.
The Fabian Society Cabinet is full of saboteurs - this woman , cranking up the number of incoming welfare recipients that want us dead , Miliband , who wants to shut down energy supply , they are all enemy agents . They must be removed .
It doesn’t help whatever the Home Secretary says. It may be red meat for her voters, it may not. There is no integrity or trust to be had. The push and pull factors don’t change. And the voters she needs to care about, actually believe this stuff. Any cut of any benefit, any measure to stop one person arriving illegally, is totally unacceptable. So we will blunder on, and on, until it is too late to change anything.
I was thinking of what this government might do if there was disorder of the anti globalist type.
My thoughts were, apart from the obvious, (using riot police and military resources), criminals and religious fanatics in migrant communities could be encouraged to discourage protestors.
We'll be getting badgered about having spare bedrooms soon, depriving hard working families or key workers from decent living accommodation. How throughly depressing.
Simple. Anti racism as a mantra is as close to an actual religion the atheist left/blank slate socialists have. All policies are downstream from this position. Literally blinds left politicians and union leaders to stark realities.
