The port blockade protest in Portsmouth over the weekend has caused a number of ripples over the last couple of days - not least widespread antipathy towards the RNLI - the cause of much establishment media revulsion.
I like the recent very clever protest that occurred at Dover. No mobile phones, no violence, zero arrests. Why did Farage condemn it? This needs repeating and with much larger scale. Reform should be supporting it.
Of course, there are a lot of people who decry Matt Goodwin and say that he is wrong. They are usually people who are fully in favour of the rapid demographic changes in the UK. This has nothing to do with racism. It is about a population with its own culture rapidly being displaced. It is about the entire character of a country rapidly changing, because of large numbers of immigrants from totally different cultures that are often in conflict with western culture and expectations. I think the extent and the pace of change has been far too great to be absorbed easily by the existing population, and that this is causing a backlash. It is not only the UK that is experiencing this of course. .The same thing is happening in all western countries and I think it is very dangerous. In addition, the volume of immigration in a very short period of time is leading to the inadequacy of infrastructure to cope. That is housing, roads, hospitals, GP's, schools etc etc. The UK Government is already spending nearly 50% of the country's income. It can't go much further. This is now causing what we are seeing, economic stagnation, increased taxation and the inadequacy of facilities and infrastructure to cope. At some point there will be an economic crash and that is when things will start to unravel in a dangerous way. I'm not against immigration at all, for obvious reasons, but I do think that it has to be controlled and very selective with immigrants being people who can adapt to western culture. . .
