I quite like Charlie Downes, he isn’t phased by self important interviewers like Hartley Brewer.
But I do question his phrasing.
Hamas’s declared aim is to eliminate the people of Israel, so deleting Hamas is a logical response.
But why does Charlie call it genocide? Elimination would be a far better description and less controversial, given Israel’s history.
In addition, why does Charlie criticise Israel for a response any country would undertake to protect their people from terrorism?
I expect Lowe to ask for an explanation.
