Grim times indeed and yet where is ' her majesty's loyal opposition ' . Silent.

There is only a cigarette paper now between the Labour and the Conservative parties with the rot starting when David Cameron bragged he was the heir to Blair.

I don't think the gap is that wide!

True enough. I blame David Cameron fro COVID as 'er adman COVID' is an anagram of his name. He is also the 'AD demon vicar'.

Blair and his heir Cameron between them with Iraq and Libya completely screwed up the status quo and released the whirlwind of immigration Europe is suffering from leading to the dinghy crossing we suffer from.

"That tweeters are facing longer jail terms than child moslestors [sic] is no administrative oversight or blip. It reflects the regime's value system. A crime against the person is a second order offence compared to a crime against the state narrative. "

That sums up the current regime, so well, in just two sentences.

These are very dangerous times but there are more of us than them but we have to get organised in local leaderless groups coordinated via the internet and adopt the many varied ways of peace protest advocated by Gene Sharp in his book 'From Dictatorship to Democracy'.

I doubt if there is such a thing as a leaderless group. Someone has to start a group, set agenda, kick out saboteurs etc. and inevitably will be the leader. Also, not everyone will read the book due to lack of time etc. An explanatory summary would be useful.

First its a small book of only 100 odd pages and then second you need to read the book called The Starfish and the spider' about leaderless groups!!

I liked this from GoodReads: ""Starfish systems are wonderful incubators for creative, destructive, innovative, or crazy ideas. Anything goes. Good ideas will attract more people, and in a circle they'll execute the plan. Institute order and rigid structure, and while you may achieve standardization, you'll also squelch creativity. Where creativity is valuable, learning to accept chaos is a must.""

I think that the on-line safety bill is the Authoritarian's answer to such systems.

I warm to the idea. I see ideas bubble up on our neighbourhood group and get adopted without a leader. However, it is not the place for political groups, as such posts will be removed.

Shared. Good content and a necessary read.

We now have an unofficial 'capital crime' category called 'crimes against state orthodoxy' and these 'rioters' are the first to be punished for it. You're absolutely correct that under the new regime crimes against the state are treated far more seriously than crime against a mere mortal.

When people feel they are being gaslit and lied to it never ends well - and if we're going to see a government declare war on its own people then we might just see something credible emerge to represent the sane amongst us.

Bringing in even more lawless people will lead to more lawlessness which will lead to more protests and more clampdowns of the clampdowns.

More laws with no relationship to the stated intentions of protecting the public.

More laws aimed at closing discussion and attacks on political organisations that oppose those laws.

I doubt Britain First or Reform will be on the ballot sheet at the next election.

But the UK will be a democracy as voters will still be able to choose from Labour Tories Lib Dem’s and Greens 😂

'Naked terror misery' is but one suitable anagram of Keir Rodney Starmer, his full name. No 'L' sadly to make Stalin. But I can get 'main key red terrors' which is not unsuitable.
