A very insightful analysis. One of your best methinks. The desire to shock, to get notoriety 'clicks' infused with superficial knowledge at best is a dangerous combination. To tease the prospect of rehabilitating the Austrian painter is beyond a childish desire to upset the grown ups. Fuentes is willfully ignorant in these matters.

There are deeper systemic issues at play imo, as I explained in a response to MacCormack's essay on the subject:

I totally agree that the severe problems we face in the UK are divorced from USA politics and can only be solved by ourselves. Furthermore scapegoating Jews is a complete distraction to our focusing on the solutions to the serious problems of mass migration and the increase in Muslim ghetto areas in our cities.

What we need are politicians and parties in tune with the indigenous British people and do not pander to migrants through weakness and fear of being called racist.

Evola's Sunglasses's avatar

Our problems are not divorced from America. We are a vessel state of America and have been post 1945.

Asking the question of why this lobby group has bought up so much of the American power structure, eg Marian Adelson and her hundreds of millions to Trump is common sense.

Plus, so many of the Immigrants now in Britain have come from countries destabilised by the American government and the NeoCon lobby. Eg Afghanistan, Syria Iraq and Libya.

The key point though is that our problems can and must be solved by us but of course our current politicians are simply not up to the task.

Great stuff. Your Granddad's terminology is spot on. Shitehawks abound these days, on all sides.

I still suspect globalist/supranational bureaucracies are a force for great harm. Davos is just where they go to wank each other off.

Agreed, it was even more interesting who fell for the Fuentes and Owen phenomenon and who was behind it. https://aethelstan.substack.com/p/deep-state-donors-back-owens-and

Fuentes is a disgusting human being. His targets are always the norm: Heterosexuals, women, protestants. He provides no light, no goodness and is just hateful. He loves playing to a crowd and manipulates midwit interviewers. He is best ignored but the crowd over at Lotus Eaters are beginning to get enamoured of him; Carl Benjamin thinks he's a harbinger of something revolutionary but he ignores the fakeness of Fuentes and his followers.

"I just don’t like lazy, simplistic narratives"

Exactly. A bit of a cliche now, but I do still think the Jew-hatred thing is just right-wing identity politics. Assigning everybody to a group and assuming all the people in the group are clones, without any trace of individuality or self-centred ambition, even at the expense of other members of their 'clone-group'.

I suppose I do occasionally see the first-stage of separation from the clone-group to differentiating between 'ethnic Jews' and 'religious Jews'. It's a start, I guess.

Like the differentiation between Islamists and Muslims is a start.

But it does need to expand into the acceptance that everybody is just an individual with his or her own selfish desires. Not so helpful if you're a lazy political party trying to establish a block vote, instead of doing the donkey work to persuade people of policies one-by-one.

I don't think the rise of antisemitism is coincidental. Corbyn came a cropper for allegations of it it six years ago. My hunch is sock-puppets stuffed heartily with a grubby keffiyah.

Cheers Pete, nice one. I've noticed this myself, there's a lot of it on here.

Can't say I know this fella but your right, he's a shitehawk.

I don't personally reply to anyone who seems to be like minded and then you find they think it's the Jews who are to blame.

I think it's fair to say the Liebour party has a real hatred for Israel and antisemitism. Look what happened under Corbyn's rule.

The new right aren't interested is this bs. If you want some old school far right bull have a look at Nick griffin on here, I've blocked him.

Cheers Pete

Quality article Pete! Luckily I think Fuentes speaks to a pretty small audience in the UK.

Well you properly let the fire hydrant off this morning. Still, a litany of selected things that are going wrong is probably more salutary than an over-confident and over- optimistic set of policy options which will put everything right. It's all headed for smash, there is no way out and we had all better get used to the idea of living defensively with our enemies, being a damn sight less complacent, and more mistrustful of everyone

I think like most things, the answers are complicated and involved with a lot of fingers in a lot of pies to benefit themselves and their perceived interests, without care or concern for others and the consideration of consequences.

The grifters are the people (both here and America) taking that group's money. That's the easy money, that's the easy option.

If you want to gift, if you want to make money, the last thing you do is challenge and try and arsk legitimate questions about this group/ lobby.

Evola's Sunglasses's avatar

If people still think we can vote ourselves out of this, then asking the question why does this group/ Zi0 lobby, both buy up so many candidates and ruthlessly crush their opponents, is a fundamental question.

It's not a side issue or conspiracy. What is Marian Adelson getting from Trump for her hundreds of millions of dollars?

Why does this lobby fund the Tommy movement? Eg The Middle East Forum and Robert Shillman.

The failure of democracy is many reasons but candidates selling out their base to donors has been key.

+ We can ask these questions without endorsing the Austrian Painter to.

What are the “basket case regimes”? You are not seriously putting Russia and China in that box? If you put even Iran in that box you are not paying attention to their real power (population, military and industrial capacity)

Anyway I’ve always admired the integration of British Jews, but wonder why the UK government giver succour and reward to people like Bill Browder.

Well said, Pete. I did not know who Fuentes was but having read your piece, I am perfectly onside. Your arguments are nearly always well thought through. And with this one, you even lead us to a different place. Very impressed. I think I need to think differently.

Thanks for this Pete.

Your analyses of the country's woes have a way of helping me to see the bigger picture.

My own father (probably the same generation as your grandfather) often used that wonderful Northern definition of 'shitehawk' for a dishonest person.

Made me laugh out loud.

In a 2002 survey. 2 in 5 American Jews under 40 said Israel was an apartheid state. Believing this is mainstream. Begin your analysis with this.

Fuentes does seem to be a shite hawk but the issue is Israeli apartheid and its control of American politicians is real.
