They had absolutely no intention of reversing the nation's decline. They actively encouraged it. Covid shutdown, money printing, erosions of freedom of speech, economic decline and mass migration.
She is lying. But she was always just a stooge, a diversity hire to appease the woke Marxists who have metastasised the Tory Party into Marxist Lite. To say the Tories do not have a good track record for controlling immigration is a rank understatement. Theresa May's administration signed the UN Migration Compact in December 2019 which essentially dissolved the UK's borders. 6 years later, our nation is on the verge of collapse. It was done by stealth without any proper oversight. Most people don't even realise what happened. They've never even heard of the UN Migration Compact. We are beyond the point of no return exactly as envisaged and planned. Our nation has already been destroyed. Your recent arrest shows how far we have fallen in a few short years. Emigration out of the UK is no longer just desirable. It is essential self preservation. There is no possible peaceful political remedy.
I agree that primarily our democracy needs serious reform and the activist judges need to be given the boot. They have been misusing the ECHR, as have the government and the plethora of greedy Human Rights Lawyers.
Leaving the ECHR is not the full answer and we will lose a lot of protections for ourselves that would leave us even more exposed to unjust, inhumane treatment from corrupt law-enforcers and politicians. We mustn’t “throw out the baby with the bath water” as they say!
The main problem with all EU legislation is its turgidity. No one seems flexible enough to reform it when needed. It’s all in “tablets of stone” and often poorly written, which is mainly why I voted Leave.
The mess that has been made of the NI border is down to weak diplomacy. If we had just left the EU with “No Deal” but continued to leave the Irish border open as a special concession to the Good Friday Agreement, we all might have fared better.
For me the Rwandan plan was always a mad hat non-starter and is no solution to the real issue of stopping the boats and restricting legal immigration severely for some years. Rwanda is not a place we want to encourage any more immigration from after the Stockport massacre.
Reform is needed but is the Reform party up to dealing with the issues or will they be blinded by the mass of legislation just like their predecessors?
I will vote for them where there is no serious challenge from Advance U.K. but I feel Ben Habib is the man with the incisive mind who would be better placed to cut through the mess and chart a path to the remedies we need. It’s called leadership and the first principle of leadership is Consistency (MOD handbook for Officer Training!) which is what we are all so badly in need of. The Reform Party really missed a trick in letting him go but he is waiting in the wings for when it all gets too difficult for even the smart Zia Yusuf!
We WILL most likely totally self-destruct and its from the ashes that the slow rebirth will occur under new leadership.
I just hope I live long enough to see the start of the rebirth and ideally at least some recognition and debate about the vital importance of reforming our governance to improve our democracy and of course in line with the six demands of THA.
My head says you are right about this and my heart says you are wrong. Whatever has to be tackled eventually must be tackled immediately. During the May government and the zombie parliament it became clear that the Remainers were never really motivated by economic and geopolitical considerations. Their "European project" was a stealth campaign to impose a new constitution on us, and great was their rage when they found they had failed.
AC Grayling, in a recent book, argued in bizarre detail that Brexit was "unconstitutional", citing principles such as votes for sixteen year olds unknown to the actual constitution. Puzzling over it, I came to think that "unconstitutional" needs to be parsed not like "illegal" but like "lawless". He thinks the only conceivable constitution is one of the German type, designed to maintain the Uniparty permanently in power and to keep the politics out of politics.
To those who think like this, judicial supremacy and courts with the power to strike down legislation are of the essence. The European Convention and Court of Human Rights are now their last hope of achieving their aims, they will stop at nothing to keep us in, and it is not impossible that our Supreme Court and the European Court will intervene at a point when it is too late for a Reform/Tory parliament to fight back.
Many people spotted early on that John Bercow would do all in his power to block Brexit, but they failed to see that he must be tackled at once. This is a mistake we must not make again.
I never thought I would see the day that this idea would become a respectable talking point. Proper fucking scary. Leave well alone, it was set up to protect us ‼️‼️‼️‼️
There is no mention of a border in the Belfast Agreement and it was not voted on because of it. It was largely about the change to the Irish Constitution and allowing Northern Irish people to claim Irish citizenship without the grandparents rule. It also codified cross border bodies to help liaise relationships between the two countries.
More embellishments and policies were added later but this was not the result of voting.
It is clear in the Agreement that whatever the changes to each country’s status as well as EU law that accommodations are made as best possible. Not roadblocks.
As an eminent journalist wrote of the euro - you can't sustain the the unsustainable - I suspect, it's just one of unsustainable categories of that will have to be got rid of, much like the Windsor Framework & the TCA
They had 14 years in office and did nothing.
They had absolutely no intention of reversing the nation's decline. They actively encouraged it. Covid shutdown, money printing, erosions of freedom of speech, economic decline and mass migration.
They did manage to destroy the economy.
Bit late Kemi that train's already left Reform Station as Starmer found when he had to change at Flip-Flop junction !

How can there be a serious challenge from Advance UK or other minnow party?
Most problems we face in this country could be addressed and resolved by a united party with guts and balls along with a working majority.
True but so unlikely to happen in the next few years.
That is true but once we hit the buffers that will be the only answer to rising again.
Yes but, that assumes that we don't go into total self-destruct mode first.
We WILL most likely totally self-destruct and its from the ashes that the slow rebirth will occur under new leadership.

They left the EU. And managed to screw that up, with no clear vision, objectives or purpose. So I wouldn´t trust them to leave the ECHR.

Fudges really tend not to last that long.
The faux Tories need to call time on Badenough
